Job Title: Security Alarm Technician

We are seeking a skilled Security Alarm Technician to join our team. The role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting security systems, including alarm systems and surveillance equipment. Applicants must be detail-focused, capable communicators, possess relevant technical experience, and have a clean driving record.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and route wiring or low-voltage cabling for alarm systems, fire detection devices, and security cameras in both residential and commercial settings.

• Interpret building blueprints and diagrams to ensure proper placement of wiring and system components.

• Mount control panels, sensors for doors/windows, security cameras, and other equipment with precision.

• Configure system software in panels/keypads as well as identify technical issues for resolution.

• Provide customer support by demonstrating system functionality and training users on operations.

• Utilize hand tools effectively during installation tasks.

• Work comfortably at heights using ladders or scaffolding; lift over 30 pounds when necessary; navigate tight spaces such as crawl areas or attics.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in the installation or servicing of security/alarm systems is preferred.

• Familiarity with reading schematics/diagrams related to electrical setups is an asset.

• Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving abstract for travel between job sites.

• Physical ability to perform labor-intensive tasks such as lifting heavy objects or working in challenging environments (e.g., confined spaces).

Additional Expectations:

• Participate in rotating on-call schedules to address urgent service requests outside regular hours.
